  • Tropical Cyclone TWENTYONE formed over eastern Indian Ocean on 11 March and started moving towards north-west Western Australia. On 11 March at 18.00 UTC, its centre was located approximately 260 km north of Barrow Island, with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h (tropical storm).
  • TWENTYONE is expected to make landfall over Shire of Exmouth on the evening of 12 March as a tropical depression.
  • Over the next 24 hours, heavy rain, strong winds and storm surge are forecast over north-west Gascoyne Region.
  • The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has issued a warning zone for severe weather over the area.
